A massive global retail chain with over 50,000 employees was struggling with extreme HR fragmentation. They were using 12 different payroll vendors, 5 different performance management tools, and had zero central visibility into their global headcount. This lack of standardization led to severe compliance risks, inaccurate payroll processing, and an incredibly poor employee experience.
The HR leadership needed to undergo a massive digital transformation, aiming to consolidate all human capital management (HCM) processes into a single, unified cloud platform. The challenge was exacerbated by the diverse legal and regulatory requirements across the 25 countries they operated in, requiring a highly flexible yet centrally governed architecture.
Architectural Solution
We spearheaded a global rollout of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, seamlessly integrating it with their local payroll providers and their core SAP S/4HANA financial system. We conducted exhaustive blueprinting workshops to harmonize HR processes across all 25 countries, creating a global template that accommodated localized legal requirements.
We deployed the full suite of SuccessFactors modules, including Performance & Goals, Learning Management (LMS), and Recruiting. To ensure massive user adoption, we designed highly intuitive Fiori interfaces and deployed the SuccessFactors mobile app, empowering floor staff with self-service capabilities for leave requests and payslips. The result was a completely unified HR landscape.
